    Tariffs v Climate Heating

In the past week a young lady with a famous surname has crossed Baffin Island solo, with a team to photograph and provide food and supplies, to highlight Climate Change. And in the past week global tariffs have been announced, the complexity of which are far above this writer’s pay grade, but which have created a limit on goods transported around the Earth. Of course this has a massively detrimental effect on hard working business owners who have worked hard in their business over the last few decades. But within the measurement of Earth and Sun, which one reduces the impact of humans onto the life zone, and which one increases? As one large Solar flare would stop all movement of modern supply chains anyway, could this be a pause time to observe reality.

    A Logical Question

Yesterday was International Women’s Day, 8th March, 2025. In the name of gender equality, why is today not International Men’s Day, 9th March, 2025? Or 7th March, 2025? That would not look good for feminists so why is today, 9th March, 2025, not International Men’s Day? Or as men and women are polar opposites to give life under the magnificence of the Sun, why is 8th September, 2025, not set for International Men’s Day? Discuss.

  • The Logical View

This domain has been set up to provide a place/space to write a short essay of 500-750 words, on anything and everything. This apparently nebulous parameter is actually the reverse, but only because of the start point. A baseline defines everything and if the baseline is nebulous the material which follows becomes meaningless when taken to its conclusion, because there is no end and there is nowhere to return to. The fact that there is such a thing as a conclusion is contained within this domain ethos, because it is only without a starting point and a conclusion that everything becomes subjective and meaningless. The point of the domain name The Logical View is therefore contained within the title.

It will be written as a subscription blog (that word being likely a corruption of the old use of the word log, from the centuries when a human wrote by hand some report or details in a log book which related to something specific, observable and traceable, and could not be altered, and lasted for a long time if the log book did not get wet or burnt by fire). A subscription blog is an important distinction because by making a very small cost it puts a perimeter between neither joining the runaway moneymaking train of the western world nor being a free for all spouting on the worldwide web (a corruption of the astonishing work of the spider) and will avoid the reader becoming the commodity. It is also logical because any process without a perimeter is highly illogical, isn’t it.

So, someone might ask, what then is the logical start point of this domain? Well, in a nutshell, the Logical View is anything which is measured from Earth and the natural world on its surface. Earth as rock, earth, water held together by the gravity of Helios forms a fundamental logos onto which the life zone can exist. The life zone is formed as all growing and living matter, in all dimensions from the tiniest amoeba and tiniest plant life up the complexity scale to the intelligent mind/body/spirit beings such as eagles, crows, wolves, collie dogs, large sea life, spiders, indigenous peoples. The life zone is a zone of symbiotic relationships in the groupings of different plant and animal and insect life, around an oak tree or a small area of habitat dependent on latitude, very particular climatic and resources, and topography.

The human, of course, in-habits, lives within this domain on the surface of Earth. It is logical to say this is non-negotiable, undeniable (un-refutable, un-falsifiable), and that the human depends on Earth which depends on Helios for everything, to bring it into existence in this form in the first place and for continued life. This tension-traction of logos forms the parameter of this essay blog, written into a domain in the modern, technical, digital sense of the word. The modern industrial and now digital world depends on electricity to survive, not Helios, and therefore measures its logic to electricity. A solar flare on the scale of the Carrington Event in 1859, named after a human but merely an equation between Helios and Earth and nothing to do with a human at all, which could neither cause nor prevent it, would end all electrical practices of the modern human. This domain is written therefore on digital tech which would also end, but from the baseline of the fundamental logos of the equation between Helios and Earth. Any words therefore stand outside modern politics, prevailing legal mores, individual or national viewpoints, or personal identities because the measurement of facts is to Helios and Earth, not human to human.

  • Winter in Britain 2024

This sure is a busy time of year

After the fireworks of fizz and bangs

And funny to think the week before that

It was all just skellies and fangs.

But now as Guy Fawkes is forgotten again

And Christmas brings forth the heaving shelves

Lapland News reports that Father Christmas has

    A threatened strike by Elves.

They’re saying that Amazon pays much more

    And the DPD courier drops

Are so much easier from warehouse and van

Than from a sledge across snowy rooftops

And none of the yearly scraps with the cats

Who wait up just to take the mick

Sure, no mince pies nor sherry neither,

    Brought back by Father Nick.

So, they say, they’re hanging up

Their livery of red and green

Because what is the point of hours of graft

When children now just want a screen.

    They’ve discussed with the Reindeer

    Who said, ‘We agree,

We’ll demand rate of inflation plus 50%

And then sit back and wait to see…’

And children themselves they just sit in the warm

Fixated on swipe after swipe on their phone

As the magic unfolds their eyes do grow glazed

And the magic of Santa was never known

While Santa himself burns the midnight oil

On strikes, NI hike, can he carry on anymore,

How long will it be before a ‘For Sale’ sign appears

On his once industrious workshop door?
